Diss-Located Bones

...Trombones across East Anglia!!!

Steve Andrews leaving DLB.

Steve Andrews, one of the stalwarts of Diss-Located Bones almost since its inception is leaving East Anglia.

Steve is a serving soldier in the soon to be disbanded Dragoon Guards band based at Swanton Morley. Due to reorganisation by the British Army the band members are being split between other bands. Steve is going to Bovington in Dorset.

He attended his last DLB rehersal on Wednesday 5th April, he takes up his new position from 16th May. Steve will be missed by DLB, he always had a gravel-voiced, Barnsley-inflected comment for us (on any issue) and was an integral part of the ensemble.

Fortunately, Steve's inimitable style was captured by the Inside Out broadcast as he was the one playing “The Acrobat” with his foot.

Steve is doing the 2006 London Marathon on 26th May 2006. Training is going well and he is hoping for a sub 3:30 Marathon time. Watch for a 6"4 belisha beacon - that'll be Steve!

We wish him the best of luck for the Marathon and with his new move and thank him for the commitment to Diss-Located Bones over the past fifteen months.
